The ‘Kohenoor’ is one of the most famous athenian indian restaurants, well known for its amazing curries! The ambience is very simple and modest, no frills actually, but you will go there for its authentic food and rare recipes! The variety on the menu is rather extended, as there are sweet, fruity, hot and intolerably hot curries, all full of indian aroma!

Our favourites are: curry pakora, kashmiri chichen and chicken bhuna. We also adore the sag naan and the strong garlic one. We usually accompany our meal with a delicious mango lassi, always full of flavour. The prices are good, all chicken curries cost 8 euros, the naan 2.5-5 euros, the appetizers 4-5 euros, the veg dishes 7 euros….you can also ask your curry to be with lamb, beef or prawns (the owners are from Pakistan , so no pork).

The food served at Kohenoor is definitely one of the most authentic in the city and the area where the restaurant is is a very safe, former industrial, bohemian neighbourhood, popular among the Greeks. The restaurant is family run-away, and they aso have one more (older) in Corfu!
